Museum Piece

My city cousin takes me to the famous museum. We proceed through spacious galleries of Middle Eastern archaeology, Renaissance paintings and classical sculpture, staying together at some exhibits, then separating, finding each other again. Lithographs and textiles, calligraphy and gilded screens, ceramics and glass, jewelry and photography. Everything and nothing. My eyes are crossed and I’m ready to topple over.
