dance me
to the children that are asking
to be born...

of children dancing
in the street...
thus do we scatter
like seeds in a hot wind

    searching for words
in these sunlit badlands
I dance
on the razorback ridge
between truth and magic

in the darkness
a child waits for her father
to love her
the way he says all daddies
love their little girls

  I am ready to fall
each time you throw me
and to stand again
as if you taught me aikido
and I were unbreakable
